Judo is a cross between Gymnastics and Chess; to be physically able to move your body into positions to throw an unwilling opponent, you need to learn moves similar to Gymnastics. A totally different set of moves are needed to escape someone trying to throw you!

Judo Gymnastics is aimed at the under 12 years students who are still developing their motor skills, we provide a more modern approach to the fundamental movements required to both defend and attack in an Olympic fighting sport.

The art of judo is the most popular martial art in the world; it incorporates grappling, throwing, strangling and arm-locking techniques. Judo is reportedly the second most popular sport in the world (behind Soccer) and has been an Olympic sport since 1964.
Judo is a sport of tradition; based on a moral code that values politeness, courage, sincerity, self-control, honour, modesty, friendship and respect.
Judo developed self-discipline and respect for oneself and others.
It provides a means for learning self-confidence, improving concentration and leadership skills, as well as developing physical coordination, strength, power and flexibility.
Judo develops complete body control, fine balance and fast reflexive action.
Above all, it develops a sharp reacting mind and coordinated body.
Although there are no striking techniques; as used by other martials arts like taekwondo, mauy thai, mma and karate, Judo does use them in katas. Judo training also provides an effective self-defence system if the need arises.
